Counsellor Therapist
Hello, I'm Reena — a British-born South Asian woman with deep roots tracing from India to Africa, now living in London. Over the years, my journey has been anything but linear. On paper, you might describe me as a qualified beauty therapist, complementary therapist, Reiki healer, insurance specialist, accountant, cab driver, and a trained child and adolescent therapist — as well as an eternal student of life. But I simply call myself a Well-being Therapist, bringing together a rich tapestry of real-life and professional experiences that have guided me toward my true purpose: supporting others in their healing journey. From a young age, I’ve felt a deep calling to help people — and animals — heal. My work draws on both Western scientific understanding and Eastern philosophical wisdom, forming an integrative therapeutic practice that nurtures the mind, body, and soul. I believe this balanced, holistic approach creates the conditions necessary for lasting, meaningful transformation. My practice is grounded in core values: curiosity, empathy, compassion, acceptance, containment, conscious awareness, integration, creativity, balance, patience, and movement. These principles help me support others in reshaping their inner narratives, allowing them to live with greater clarity, purpose, and connection — not just as individuals, but as part of a wider, interdependent community. I’ve worked with people from a wide range of backgrounds and communities, helping to shift ingrained internal dialogues around identity, neurodiversity, cultural difference, generational trauma, and personal or family struggles. I also support professionals, including educators navigating complex and ambiguous environments, to reclaim autonomy and begin healing from the root upwards. Clients often leave our sessions with a renewed sense of self and confidence in their ability to manage life’s challenges. They take away practical tools and embodied techniques that support them across all areas of life — tools they can also share with others, contributing to collective healing and emotional regulation within their circles and communities. I believe healing is deeply personal. Every individual’s path is unique, and creating a mindful, supportive, and non-judgmental space is essential to meaningful exploration. My sessions often integrate external creative practices — such as working with clay, art, crystals, stones, and crafts — alongside internal healing techniques like mindfulness, breathwork, and Reiki, encouraging deep, conscious integration. “Wax on, wax off.” “You trust the quality of what you know, not the quantity.” – Mr. Miyagi, The Karate Kid Life is circular, reflective, and often confusing. If you’re looking to face your fears, break recurring patterns, or better understand your own (or your child’s) journey, I’d love to help. If a safe, holistic, and creative approach to transformation resonates with you, please feel free to get in touch at R.shah89@outlook.com. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation so we can connect and see how I may best support you on your path to self-discovery.
