We’ve just launched a brand-new way to keep your Counselling Network profile feeling fresh — you can now embed your Facebook Page feed directly onto your public profile.
That means when you post an update on your Facebook Page, your latest posts can also appear on Counselling Network… helping potential clients see you’re active, approachable, and real.
Why this is useful
Most directories are “set it and forget it”. We’re building Counselling Network to be different — a profile that keeps working for you.
With Facebook Feed Embed you can:
-
Save time: post once on Facebook, and your updates can show in two places
-
Build trust: clients can see your latest news, reminders, reflections, events, or availability updates
-
Add depth to your profile: your profile becomes more than a static page
What it looks like
Your Facebook feed will appear as a section on your public profile (near the bottom), showing your Page timeline in a familiar Facebook style.
It’s completely optional — if you don’t want it, just leave it off.
Important note (quick but vital)
This works with Facebook Pages (business/professional pages), not personal profiles or Facebook groups.
If you’re not sure what you have, don’t worry — most counsellors who use Facebook professionally already have a Page.
How to add your Facebook feed (simple steps)
-
Go to Facebook’s Page Plugin (Embed) tool
-
Paste the link to your Facebook Page
-
Facebook will generate an embed code
-
Copy that code
-
In your Counselling Network dashboard, open the new Facebook Feed section
-
Paste the embed code and Save
-
Preview your public profile to check it looks right
That’s it — once it’s in, your feed will start appearing.
Tips to make it look great
-
Use a Page name and profile photo that matches your counselling brand
-
Pin a welcoming post on your Facebook Page (it often becomes the first thing people see)
-
If your feed looks empty, add a couple of recent posts and check again
Privacy & control
-
You’re not giving us your Facebook password (you’re using Facebook’s official embed)
-
You can remove or switch it off at any time
-
If Facebook is down or blocking embeds in a browser, the feed may not display temporarily — your profile still works as normal
Rolling out to counsellors
We’re releasing this feature steadily so we can keep quality high and respond quickly to feedback. If you can already see it in your dashboard — you’re one of the first to get it.
