Jenny Jones

Professional Counsellor

As a therapist, I believe that you’re the expert of your own experience. I will support you to build self-acceptance, have compassion for yourself and understand yourself more fully. I work with a wide range of issues, whilst keeping you and what they mean for you, central to our sessions.

Personal Touch

My personal experience of life – and death – has taught me that we are each unique individuals with diverse experiences that impact us in different ways. The thing that helps us through those difficult periods can be different from person to person, and it can change as we come across new challenges. I became a therapist because I understand how challenging life can be. Our experiencesshape who we are, but sometimes it can be difficult to accept what’s happened or know how to move forward. I believe having a space where you are truly heard and accepted supports healing and growth.

Client Focus

I work with you, rather than your 'problem', however I regularly work with people experience the following issues: - Anxiety/ stress - Anger Issues - Bereavement - Depression - Employment issues - General wellbeing - Relationship Breakdown/difficulty & family issues - Self esteem

Background

Therapy Approach

I’m trained to work integratively – that simply means that I have studied a range of different ideas about how we come to be as we are, and that I’m able to work in a flexible way that suits you and your needs. Perhaps you’re creative and connect best through imagery, or maybe you’re a practical thinker and find it helpful to write things down and give them order. Integrative counselling is a personalised therapeutic approach that considers the unique needs and experiences of each individual.
