Hi my name's Kieran and I provide a safe, supportive space for men to explore the challenges that often go unspoken—whether in relationships, anger problems, sexuality, or the pressures of modern life. As a therapist based in Cornwall, I specialise in anger management and men’s mental health, helping clients move beyond feelings of isolation or uncertainty toward greater confidence and clarity. My approach is practical, empathetic, and grounded in real-world understanding, so you can feel reassured that you’re not facing these struggles alone. Reaching out is a courageous step, and here you’ll find a professional ally committed to walking alongside you as you take it."
Personal Touch
Outside of counselling, I’m someone who thrives on adventure and community. Living in Cornwall, I spend time exploring the coast and countryside, and I’ve been involved in service roles such as the Army Reserve and volunteering with local organisations. These experiences have shaped my belief that resilience and connection are built not just in therapy rooms, but in everyday challenges and shared commitments. I bring that same spirit into my work—grounded, approachable, and motivated by a genuine desire to help people feel stronger and more at ease in themselves.
Client Focus
I work best with adults and young people who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, anger, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, bereavement, and trauma. Many of my clients come to me when they feel stuck, overwhelmed, or isolated, and together we explore practical ways forward that restore confidence and clarity. I have particular experience supporting men’s mental health and sexual wellbeing, but I also work with women and adolescents, offering a safe, non-judgemental space for anyone who needs support. Whether it’s workplace stress, the impact of abuse, or struggles with self-esteem, my focus is always on helping each client feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their life.
Background
I am an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist with over seven years of practice supporting individuals and groups across Cornwall and beyond. My journey began with formal training through CPCAB, where I completed qualifications in Counselling Skills, Counselling Studies, and a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. Since then, I have worked in private practice, schools, charities, and with national organisations, offering therapy face-to-face, online, and by telephone.
I specialise in person-centred counselling, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and solution-focused approaches, with particular expertise in anxiety, depression, stress, relationships, bereavement, and trauma. Alongside my private practice, I have provided therapy for survivors of domestic and sexual abuse, facilitated bereavement and loneliness groups, and worked with high-profile companies through platforms such as Spill and Spring Health.
As an Accredited Member of the BACP, I am committed to ethical practice and ongoing professional development. Key milestones in my career include receiving the South West England Men’s Counselling Service of the Year Award in 2020 and becoming an approved Rewind Trauma Therapist. My diverse experience—spanning corporate, community, and charitable settings—enables me to bring a grounded, adaptable, and client-centred approach to every session.
Therapy Approach
My counselling style is integrative, meaning I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to suit each client’s unique needs. At the heart of my work is a person-centred approach, which places your experiences and perspective at the centre of the process. Alongside this, I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients build resilience and move toward a more values-driven life, and Solution-Focused Therapy to identify practical steps forward when change feels overwhelming.
I also incorporate elements of CBT and mindfulness when helpful, offering tools to manage anxiety, stress, and negative thought patterns. This flexible, client-led approach ensures that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all experience, but a collaborative journey tailored to you. My aim is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes.
